According to the charity project “The first profession” a modern sewing workshop was installed in the orphanage “Sonechko” which is located in village Burty (Kiev region).

On 10^th of June the inmates of orphanage received gifts from TOP Ukraine and Ukrainian Fashion Week: sewing machines, irons, fabric for sewing and embroidery, all supporting materials (scissors, thread, needles, pins, pattern), a variety of magazines and manuals.

This time the delegation on behalf of the charity project was headed by the famous Ukrainian designer Sergiy Smolin.

It should be noted that the inmates of the orphanage were looking forward to the arrival of guests with great interest. They have long dreamed of a sewing workshop because their favourite occupation and hobby is to create beautiful things with their own hands. Children were so hospitable, they demonstrated the guests their works and achievements in art and crafts with tremendous inspiration. Designer Sergiy Smolin also willingly shared with children his own sewing secrets and talked about his own path to success. In addition, the director and inmates arranged a small excursion along their home, introduced the peculiarities of life and learning process.
